Hainanese Chicken Rice Recipe From RasaMalaysia.com For Bookmarking

http://rasamalaysia.com/chicken-rice/2/

So I tried this out the other day. Good recipe! Highly recommend!

It took me about 2 hours to prepare the:
1. Chicken
2. Soup
3. Rice
4. Chili Sauce
5. Special Soy Sauce

Basically you have to boil the chicken first and chill it and cool it down to room temperature.
Use the soup to make the rice and chili sauce.
Prep the soy sauce and cucumber to accompany the chicken.

Tasted really good. I replaced the required chicken with a smaller spring chicken and it turned out quite tender.

My kitchen utensils are not that big. So a smaller chicken is easier to control. Plus there won't be any leftovers with a smaller chicken.

I added extra carrots, leeks and celery to the soup to make it more tasty.
And also added fresh tomato next to the prepped chicken.
I guess you can buy some achar and this would also complement it.

So going to cook this again!

Will try the roasted chicken next time!

Air Fried Roast Chicken Recipe From BudgetPantry.com For Bookmarking

Tried this 3o minute recipe from

http://budgetpantry.com/airfried-rosemary-spring-chicken/#more-3969

Was surprised how tasty and moist the chicken turned out.
Coz sometimes when I use the air fryer to cook stuff, they turn out really dry.

Modified Chicken Marinate:
  1. Some sprinkling of Salt and black pepper
  2. 2 teaspoons oyster sauce
  3. 2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  4. Minced garlic
I eliminated the bay leaves and colored peppers.
Marinated it overnight in the fridge in a tupperware.

Next evening, I just have to pop the chicken in the airfryer and dinner is ready!
I steamed some potatoes, broccoli and baked beans as sides.
Added some salt, pepper, honey mustard and butter to the potatoes and that's it.

Modified Method:
  1.  Preheat airfryer at 200 Degrees for 3 minutes
  2. Airfry Chicken for 6 minutes at 200 Degrees
    (Sear and seal)
  3. Airfry for 10 minutes at 180 Degrees on one side.
  4. Airfry for 10 minutes at 180 Degrees on other side.
  5. Coat chicken with 2 tablespoon of honey
(Don't do this earlier or it will become dark and bitter)
  6. Airfry for 3 minutes at 200 Degrees
(Char, Caramel, Wok Hei & Glaze)
